Verden - The Hanoverian May-Auction on May 5, 2007, finished with mediocre prices for the 68 riding horses auctioned in total. Though Verden called the results "satisfactory", the average auction sales price of 13,091 euro was quite low. "The excellent average auction price results is the result of the price highlight price," auction manager Rainer Kiel said.
The grey stallion Cavalitto by Contendro x Picard (breeder and exhibitor: Cornelia Peters, Moormerland) was the price highlight and sold for 34,000 euro on the phone to Spain. Like at the last 116th Elite Auction, jumper stallion Contendro is the sire of the most expensive horse.
